I have seen the ad mentioned in the previous response in the mini-sized
"Computer Mart" ads in the back pages of "Computers and Electronics"
(formerly Popular Electronics) magazine.  The modem is sold by Byte-Back Co.
It is on page 125 of their January, 1983 issue.  It sells for $119.95 kit,
$149.95 assembled and tested, plus $4.95 shipping and handling on all orders.
The ad states that an RS-232 port and software are included.  Address is per
