The American Bell site ``lime'' at Holmdel, New Jersey has been
retired.  Lime was one of the principal hub sites in the earlier
days of NetNews, feeding all of the Western Electric sites through
site ``we13'' in Montgomery, Illinois.

The Western Electric site ``we13'' will substitute site ``ihnp4''
in place of lime, in light of constructing the internal Bell System
backbone network.
