yes indeed, the plan is to double the number of parking spaces by going
to a 2 degree spacing instead of the present 4 degree; gwyn is right about
this requiring larger dishes in general, but the DBS (direct broadcast sats)
systems -- nasa and the military have already proved this out-- will
use a much higher frequency, so that the size will not be onerous,
something like a 3 footer i think, will work, but it will likely mean
that most of the cheapo tvro dishes being marketed now will not have
sufficient discrimination to do the job with 2 degree spacing.  ernie harkins
