Finally there is some activity in this news group, it seems as if religion
and politics are the most hotly contested of subjects.

My biggest complaint about "Christendom" is that most Preachers lay a heavy
burden of "thou shalt not"s on your shoulders without lifting a finger to
tell you how to accomplish all this.  My feeling is that God delivered His
Law to the people, not for them to try and accomplish, (we can't anyway) but
to give us a picture of Himself.  Only God could live up to all those laws
and commandments, and this was what he was trying to get accross by giving
them to us!  We don't need to try and do anything of ourselves, we just need
God to do them for us and through us.
