hp-kirk!russ says that birth control education is useless for children
because they can't relate to it.  It might be true that there's no
reason to talk to a five-year-old about the advantages of diaphragms
over pills, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't teach children
about how sex and reproduction work, the Truth (buzzz) and Consequences.
The sooner the better, the only thing dirty about sex is that everyone
tells you that it's dirty before you're old enough to know better.
