The unexpected, direct nature of these compliments often gains you furlongs.... Every once in a while a woman will mention that she thinks I have a "nice ass". Imagine my surprise... No, really. *I* sit up and take notice. Especially if she is someone for whom I already have respect, and somebody I may have subconsciously written off as "boring" or something. It's a good way to shake off an image, or just to provoke. Just don't overdo it. Being ridiculously polite and being the perfect gentleman isn't *always* what is in order. You have to assess each situation individually. Many people don't want to be bothered with someone they perceive to be far less experienced than they are, and if you can show them that you might be in their ballpark, at least in attitude, you can gain a lot of ground. Enough said. Glenn Reid
