If the flow of news has seemed erratic of late, it's because decvax is
ailing.  Our calls get through... and then nothing happens, and uucp
gives up.  According to Ron Gomes, what's happening is that decvax is
saying "/usr/lib/uucp/uucico: No such file or directory".  (I haven't
seen this myself because the test calls I tried worked:  the problem
is intermittent.)
