Their amps and preamp(s?) represented a sharp breakaway from the mainstream audio marketing philosophy when they first came out. Good quality for low dollar outlay. I sort of regard them as the spiritual father of Hafler. The actual father of Hafler of course is Dynaco. I had one of their 212a preamps and (still have) four Tiger 1 power amps. All worked well and for a long time. Two of the amps reside in my garage to drive small advents (another excellent value) while I work on the car. Haflers (2xDH-200) do the job inside.
