Last night I bought (take delivery tonight) a black GTI with
vent windows (No Other Options).  Beat the salesman to death, too.
He said the lowest he could go was $8000 and my trade (a 67 bug with
169k mi that needs an engine overhaul and a new transaxle).  When
I started laying hundred dollar bills on the table and saying that
$7500 was my last offer (also my first), he changed his tune.
Paid $7585 (I went up a bit) plus trade plus $29 to the state for
a title.  They let us drive a demo home.  I'll submit a 30k mi report
in a couple of months.

Now I'm in the market for a car stereo.  Advice???
