Brake dust & alloy wheels: how to clean? Message-ID: <695@drux3.UUCP> Date: Sat, 13-Aug-83 18:31:29 EDT Article-I.D.: drux3.695 Posted: Sat Aug 13 18:31:29 1983 Date-Received: Sun, 14-Aug-83 10:58:33 EDT References: <453@pegasus.UUCP> Organization: ABI, Denver Lines: 8 The problem of alloy wheels getting dirty was brought up in one of the recent auto mags (I think). Their suggestion was to take your wheels to a place that cleans wheels with a sandblaster. As soon as you get them back (wrapped in plastic) you coat them well with varnish or acrylic. After this, a simple hosing off and maybe some soap and water should clean off any junk. Ray Davis AT&T IS Denver CC (303)451-3991 {ihnp4|hogpc}!druxy!bees
