I have looked at the 318i, and frankly do not particularly like it. I am certain part of this is because of the new body style, but there is something else that bothers me about the car. Unfortunately, I can't put my finger on it. One thing I will warn you about with BMW's, though. The repair costs are astronomical. Not just the labor, but the parts themselves are very high. I once had a dealer quote me $7 /ft for heater hose. Luckily, the american size was close enough to fit.
