I drove a 1980 model for a while and have a few things to say about it. 1. Peugeots are one of the most comfortable driving and riding cars that I have been in (that are under $15,000). 2. This car can carry an incredible amount of stuff in it - I moved most of my apartment belongings in it. 3. Peugeot diesels are considered highly reliable because they are true diesels and they haven't had a lot of fiddling. Of course the other side is that because the model has been around a long time, it may not be as technologically advanced as other cars. 4. Because it is diesel and there is so much passenger/carrying space, the noise level can be a problem..A good radio might be advisable.od radio might be advisable. 5. Maintenance and repair work is minimal, provided you don't get a lemon. 6. I drive a 504D sedan, 1978, and haven't had cold weather startup problems (mid-New Jersey), but I did pay attention to weatherizing of fuel. 7. Peugeot is releasing 505 station wagon , maybe in 1984, for sale in US. Already available in Europe. So a 504 may be a good deal now. Mary Jacobs pyuxn!mcj
