I have personally toured the C5A transport at an air show here at El Toro Marine Air Station in Orange County. The Spruce Goose might have a larger wing span, but the C5A is incredibly massive. Does anybody know if the worlds largest aircraft (Spruce Goose) gets its claim to fame from its wingspan or from its actual bulk (dispacement)? It seems to me the C5A might be bigger in displacement. Any specs or comments appreciated. Sincerely, J.P. Beecher
