Here's the latest on the Race across America:
     Still in first with a 67 mile lead is Lon Haldeman
     Second is Penseyrees(sp), with Beeson in third 97
	  miles behind Haldeman.
     Secrest has fallen to fourth back at 125 miles.
     Two other riders are 220 and 250 miles behind the leader,
	  with the remaining two contenders around 300 miles
	  back.

This information is current as of 9:00AM MDT on Friday, August 12th.
This is the 10th day and the leaders have covered almost 2700 miles.
The remaining distance ( at the Ohio- West Virginia border) is just
under 500 miles to Atlantic City, New Jersey.  That is where the
RAAM will end.

Note that Michael Shermer has dropped out. Shermer had been in second
place for much of the ride, keeping Haldeman in close contact.  I
haven't heard of the reason for his departure from the race.
