I am looking for a bicycle in the ~$225-$300 range
I want alloy rims, chrome-moly tubing, and generally
good equipment.  The bike will be used for recreational
riding, not racing or loaded touring.  I would appreciate
any suggestions of what to buy and especially what NOT
to buy.  (I tend to assume that most bikes in this price
range are pretty good, but I really want to avoid making
a mistake.)  Please respond by mail - I will summarize
responses to the net if there is interest.
