I thought it worked just fine. At least the commands were easier to remember. Even though I now use vi for most of my editing, I still use ed for things like global substitutions. 2) What's wrong with designing things for novices? How 'bout designing it so that you could choose the level of drivel you wanted. That way, everyone would be happy. Second, a question: There is a cure for computer phobia. It is called netnews.
