Obs. Tucson, AZ Lines: 42 Pardon me, but I'm new at this. It seems to me that Ralph Digby (Dongbi? Dagoba?) also has a non-super wife (he's DC's Elongated Man). Of course, there are dozens of folks who have 'normal' girl-friends. In general, I think John Byrne is ---->| |<---- that close to God. Well, perhaps I exaggerate a trifle. There have certainly been better single stories, and better multi-issue stories, but Byrne's continuing quality has resulted in an excellence and consistency which has been unmatched since the early days of the new X-Persons. I am much more impressed by a series which is always good than by a single superb issue in a year's worth of muck. What, pray tell, are Warrior 10 and Grendel? Would, I say, would you be so obliging as to give us/me a capsule revue of these? With the high price of comics nowadays, it's a real decision to add something new to the list. Speaking of alternate sources, have you (collective, plural) seen "D'arc Tangent" ? It's by Phil Foglio (of The Dragon, Swank, and occasionally Starblaze books), and Freff (of who knows where. Or for that matter, who knows what. What is a Freff, anyway?) It is a marvelous story (installment 1), and the black-and-white artwork is clean and professional. Unfortunately, it's only published every 4 months or so, and I have no idea when issue #2 is due out. The story is one of those that have been plotted years in advance, and issue one contains a variety of prequels, hints, and clues. Pick it up. Does anyone out there in net-land read Elfquest?? I have loads of things I would ask about EQ and Cerebus (the kid in the bunny suit) (excuse me, I have a fetish for parenthesis) but there is no point in discussing these if no-one reads the magazines. Well, here's hoping that this gets transmitted, Jay Parks {{{ucbvax|utah-cs|purdue|mcnc}!arizona}|unc|hao}!kpno!parks (uucp)
