1) People seem to KEEP saying, when somebody says they may have to go left
at 55 to pass somebody going slower, "as long as you move right as soon as
possible."  When did somebody EVER say they insisted on the right to stay in
the left lane?  We've HEARD you say that, people, MANY times.  Please try to
say it to the people who DO stay in the left lane, instead of repeating that
point over and over again to those of us who DON'T make a point of blocking
traffic.

2) A point that hasn't been addressed by the people who insist on not having
their progress impeded: why do they have the right to insist that somebody
going the speed limit on a one-lane road move over - to the shoulder,
presumably - so that they can go the speed they want?  I'm beginning to get
tired of saying this, but how is this different from insisting that people
let you ahead in line if the line isn't moving fast enough for you?  No, I
don't think people should impede traffic by going slowly in a lane other than
the right-hand lane IF the people in question have a choice in the matter (I
have already cited several cases where you do NOT have such a choice - several
times, in fact).  However, I do not see how letting someone go the speed they
want at great inconvenience to yourself (pulling over on a one-lane road,
missing an exit or being forced to take an exit because you weren't in the
right lane, etc.) falls under the heading of "common courtesy".  It falls under
the heading of all-too-common rudeness on the part of the driver who insists
the person move over.
