Lines: 36 In response to Loren Meck's article (sdcrdcf.422): Loren states that the homosexual "life-style" is one in which promiscuity and public sex are commonplace and acceptable. Maybe Chicago's homosexuals are different from those in the rest of the world, but of all the homo. couples I've seen on the streets and in the bars, not one of them was engaging in public sex. Occaisional touching, sure, but no more, and usually less, than heterosexual couples. Promiscuity and public sex acceptable to homosexuals? About as acceptable as in the heterosexual culture. Loren also states that promiscuous anal and oral sex do a very good job of spreading diseases that society has a right to be free of. I agree. But is Loren trying to say that heterosexuals don't participate in these activities? Maybe public condemnation of the heterosexual life-style is also called for. The impression I got was that Loren also believes that AIDS came out of the closet with the homosexuals. I've been acting under the assumption that the disease has been around quite a while, and that heterosexuals can contract it, too. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. As far as I'm concerned, homosexuals are harming society as much as heterosexuals are. They do the same things, have the same jobs, eat the same food, etc., as everyone else. They simply have a different preference when it comes to a lover. Why does having a "Straight Pride Week" parade sound like having a Nazi parade to me??? Laura @ BTL IW ...ihnp4!ihuxb!irish
