They have all been members of one of the following groups: People whose sexual partner (or the transative closure of that relation) have had homosexual relations Since the transitive closure is probably the population of the world, this would seem to imply that AIDS is a regular VD that can be passed by regular heterosexual sex. What am I missing? Haitian immigrants (one of the biggest mysteries of the disease) I recall once hearing the following explanation for this: Haiti is a country where being homosexual is one notch lower on the social scale than being president of the Adolf Hitler Fan Club. Thus, while there are Haitian gays, none of them will admit it to anybody. The theory is that all Haitian immigrants who have AIDS are homosexual and just won't admit it. Whether this is true or not, I don't know. But it's the best explanation I've heard yet.
