Let me, however, offer another statement which may be considered ridiculous: If there are so many handicapped or crippled people in the world, then there will not need to be any laws to provide them with special parking places, ramps, elevators, low phones, low drinking fountains, accessible toilets and all manner of other facilities. Their mere numbers will be enough for these things to get done. Wrong, I say. There is not an overwhelming number of physically handicapped people out there. However, the simple prescence of 1 in 1000 should be reason enough to supply all of the appropriate facilities. With this off-the-wall argument, I beg to differ with the "sheer number of non-smokers" argument that Laura states. The 1 in a 1000 non-smoker should be free from the (proven) harmful association with smoke not caused by himself. Randy King we13!mgweed!rjk
