No one knows how AIDS is transmitted.  One currently popular theory is
that it is caused by some virus or other.  It is suspected that the means
of transmission is the "exchange of bodily fluids" (quaint expression) but
nothing is really known.  It IS known, however, that no health care or
laboratory workers that have come in contact with AIDS patients have ever
gotten it unless they were already in a high risk group (male homosexuals,
intravenous drug users, or Haitians).
