The second "Since..." quote (Mark Horton's) has met with apparent agreement. (Authors, please forgive me if I am not quoting word for word, as it is from memory. I think others will get the gist.) I know Mark did not literally mean "the population of the world", and was probably using it as shorthand for "a great majority of all people". However, for those who might accept the statement literally: Some of us ARE, believe it or not, old-fashioned (silly, sentimental, faithful, selfish,... fill in your favorite adjective) enough to be engaged in relationships in which we both forego sexual relationships with anyone else. Still others of us are (insert previous or different adjective) enough to actually still be virgins. To most of you this will seem trivial and obvious, but for those to whom it is a revelation, I think it is important that it be explicitly stated once in a while. In view of reactions I've seen on the net, I think it's wise for me to keep you guessing about both my sexual preference and my virginal-or-not status. Guess away! Still standing up for virgin and monogamous rights, windy* ...princeton!mckay
