I noticed when I was a freshman, all of the upper-classmen went into a feeding frenzy when 'free food' was mentioned. Being a reasonable sort, I soon adopted this behavior pattern. It's because we don't usually have much money that we attempt to get things for free. And as far as I'm concerned, it's good enough. Let the guy who doesn't go to college so that he can start working immediately and buy that Trans Am pay full price for the movie (this sentence CAN be parsed).
