I got my license in Acton, Mass, just a few short miles from the dreaded Concord Circle (where Route 2, a basically limited access 4-laner, meets 2-A, 62, and Commonwealth Ave., if memory serves). The final exam for the driving portion of Driver's Ed. consisted of getting on to Route 2, proceeding to the circle, going once around and getting off onto Route 2 going the way you came. Even in light traffic this was a real trip, due to the unwritten rule of driving in Boston and the surrounding area: Don't make eye contact with ANYONE. If you do, they'll assume you'll give way Parallel parking was a dream compared to THE CIRCLE... Kevin Hunter houti!kdh
