       Perhaps speeding	up when	another	car is attempting  to  pass
       is a manifestation of the competitive instinct.

       Maybe drivers feel that others attempting to pass  are  like
       movie  goers  attempting	to "cut	in line" at the	box office,
       and the "aggrieved" tries to maintain queue discipline.
