Two things:
Just before I had the wheels aligned, certain of the numerous bumps
in Seattle roads and freeways would cause the whole front end of my
truck to shake violently.  The only way to stop the oscillation
(which would sometimes resonate and get *really* bad) was to hit
the brakes *hard*.  Fortunately, no one was tailgating me the several
times I had to do it...

The Seattle roadways are pretty crummy, and especially so in the
right lanes, because of the higher percentage of trucks.  After
much driving in the area, I have a pretty good idea of where the
largest pits are, and will move to the smoothest lane.  This is
often the left one, and it's such a pleasure to watch some Easterner
whip around me on the right at 80, and fall into a hole.  Better 
his suspension than mine...
