Non-smokers are making some headway. During this year's world science
fiction convention, smoking will be completely banned in the
two largest halls for all events except the crab dinner preceding
the awards presentation. (Got to let them have their after dinner
lolipop, I guess.) Smoking guidelines for the smaller rooms will be
set up by persons attending programs in them, and I suspect many of
those will end up restricting smokers to a small section in a corner.
