To start off with, I must admit that I agree with the concept that much of humanity is short-sighted, narrow-minded, intollerant, or bigoted in SOME way. But to exclude all of these people from the category of "human intelligence" seems more than a little intolerant itself. Sure, I wish that all humans, myself included, had the ability to look at an issue without prior bias, and to derive the best possible conclusion from the facts at hand. Even given that this is not the case, I still think that we all should try. But to label all who do not live up to this lofty goal as "less than human" seems a bit much, if not self righteous. So that you might avoid the perils of falling into this horrible category which you have created, I would suggest that you "try to understand" your fellow man and the root of his/her/its bigotry, preconceptions, etc. Instead of applying demeaning labels which do not help anyone change for the better, try some well-reasoned, intelligent discourse through the electronic mail. That will probably do the most good in helping people attain that most elusive goal of "human intelligence". Dave Holt {allegra,ihnp4,uiucdcs}!parsec!holt
