        Submitted for your approval:  The following is a schematic
representation of a common interchange found all over the St. Louis area;
I've never seen this configuration anywhere else.

      Access       Divided
       Road        Highway
  | | | ^ |  ||  |   ||  ^   ||		How this works:  If you are travelling
  | v | | |  ||  v   ||  |   ||		south (down) on the divided highway and
  |   |   |  ||      ||      ||		you wish to exit, you turn down the
  |   |   | /        ||      ||		ramp and swing toward the access road.
  |   |   |/  /      ||      ||		Meanwhile, any northbound traffic on
  |   |   |  /|      ||      ||		the access road is supposed to yield
  |   |\    /||      ||      ||		to you at the point marked "@".
  | | |/ @ / ||  |   ||  ^   ||		This is the theory.  However, in
  | v      \ ||  v   ||  |   ||		practice, some drivers like to try
  |     /|  |||      ||      ||		and beat you through the intersection,
  |    //  / ||      ||      ||		resulting in a pile of mangled metal
  |   |/  |  ||      ||      ||		at the "@".  There are no lights, no
  |   |   |  ||      ||      ||		stop signs, just a pathetic little
  |   |   |  ||      ||      ||		"YIELD" which everyone ignores.
