Lines: 19 David Wexelblat complains: Why don't women have to register? They cry about their ERA, but when it comes time to register, they all of a sudden become frail, weak and afraid. Says who? The legislators, Phyllis S., and others who OPPOSE the ERA are the ones crying about "frail, weak" women. ERA supportors know damn well that equal rights mean equal responsibilities. Some of us are opposed to the draft; some of us aren't. (Just like men.) What you won't find is an ERA supportor who thinks its just dandy for her brother to get shot up as long as she can stay safe at home. P.S. There's nothing in the constitution now that prvents women from being drafted. All it takes is for Congress to say so. SO: You want to flame against the draft? Fine. You want to flame against the ERA? Not so fine, but go ahead. DON'T CHAR ONE JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE COOKING THE OTHER!!!!
