The State of California has done some studies involving daytime
use of headlights. The conclusion was that leaving the headlights on all
the time decreased the number of accidents.

Since reading of this, (and participating in the studies in CA).
I have always put my lights on, while driving. A side benefit
is that I never forget to put them on at night!
