	I once drove a car in which turning on the headlights in heavy
fog meant I couldn't seem a d**n thing in front of me because of the
glare of the lights reflected back at me -- this caused me real problems 
several times when driving at night. More generally, I tend to turn on
my parking lights so someone has a reasonable chance of knowing I exist,
but I've given up on using headlights (unless it is night).
