Why don't you read my article again, and see if what you THINK you read is what you read, or if, perhaps, you've merely projected your own assumptions about anyone who would DARE to disagree with you onto me. I seem to remember a paragraph starting "look, damnit, nothing is ideal.." in one of my notes. Reading that paragraph should point out to you the REAL intent of my notes. I don't mean that you shouldn't question, I DO mean that you should question things from an INFORMED viewpoint. The attitude of many people in this newsgroup is that the US should return all military materials to the US, and then destroy them. This thought is nothing but stupid, and I feel that it threatens me, personally. There are undoubtedly places where we shouldn't be. There are also several places where we should, perhaps MUST be, that we aren't. Why? Because the public outcry would have too many political ramifications. As far as your misrepresenting my attitude, thanks. I regard that as nothing more than a lie, or an uninformed act tatamount to a lie, via neglegence. (sp?) Again, I don't expect unquestioning obedience to anyone. I DO expect you to act in a responsible manner, and to take the time to think out both the validity and ramifications of any idea that you propose. A failure to do so, as far as I'm concerned, in any other than a presentation stating "does anyone know that this will do?", is irresponsible, and bordering on suicidal. The next time you defend an argument, please think before you engage your keyboard. I've said it before. Clean your own house, then ask about mine. If you want me to listen to your arguments, first make them arguments (rather than propaganda), and then present them in a way that they at least LOOK reasonable. P.S. Look up the defination of satire sometime, and see if you recognize anything familiar.
