When everyone drives with the lights on, for a period of a few years, it will lose the effect of making a car more visible. I still contend an aware driver is the only answer to reducing the amount of carnage on the roads. All drivers, in all countries, should be required to take a "Defensive Driving" course to instill awareness of how to drive a car without being a bother to others. The basic premise of the "Defensive Driving" course is to go from point A to point B without annoying others, driving without becoming agitated and without breaking down. -- Roy W. H.
