On the infrequent occasions when I spend time in alcohol establishments, I expect to be inundated with smoke. Part of the reason that I so infrequently go to such places, however, as well as the reason that I detest smoking (a reason I'm AMAZED no one else has brought up) is that cigarette smoke in sufficient quantity doesn't just annoy me--it makes me physically SICK! I get headaches and nausea when I am in a smoky room for a long time, or when I am around a filled ashtray for a short time. A filled ashtray is an assault on at least two senses (optical and olfactory), not to mention its actual sickening ability; that alone would seem reason to avoid smoking like the plague it is. -- Jeff Sargent/aeq
