Lines: 65 {~ /* Attack on ...!hplabs!dembry and others of his type */ Many people seem to have the opinion (and specifically word it as) "America - love it or leave it!", where loving it implies not speaking against it in any way. The named person just posted that one-liner. On the contrary, why don't *you* leave this country, you anti-democratic twit? Our country's win lies in its constitution, including the right to speak freely and question the government. Anyone fool enough to trust the warmongering, senile cabinet we have right now deserves to have his ass blown off. Watt is insane, Weinberger is a bloody bastard, Reagan is having a fine time playing a nifty role, which he never got in the movies, and that's all it is to him. He doesn't know what's going on... And the banks and industrial fat cats are making lotsa nice green off of the whole deal. No one cabinet represents what this country stands for. Least of all this one. Reagan supports the government in El Salvador, right? I saw that country's president on 'Face the Nation' or whatever a few weeks back. At one point he was asked about all the people being shot and killed. His answer was "Those weren't people, ... those were peasants." I went into shock upon hearing this, and the people next to me said that I had heard right. That's the policy Reagan & company support. Do you support that view? If you don't, why don't you pack for Russia, you commie bastard? Why don't you wake up to reality, people? See what corruption we have up there, and make a better choice next time (if we live that long). Nobody's perfect, but the best choice seems to be the lesser of the two evils. Think more of the country's interests in the long run when you vote, *if* you vote. Does anybody remember the time Kennedy blockaded Cuba? That was pretty touchy for a while, and we sat on the brink of war. Did anybody look up from their terminal and notice that Reagan has blockaded another "communist" Central American country? I am scared to think what he might do next. Not to metion the potential "Vietnam V2.0" in the making in El Salvador. Besides which, why do we go up in arms about the Russians providing aid to Central and South American countries? First, it does not mean that the commoners themselves are inherently indoctrinated communists - all they understand is being loyal to the people who make life a bit better for them, the people who keep their kids from starving... Sure we provide aid to the same countries. Do you honestly believe that more than a small fraction of it makes it to the common people who really need it? Wake up! I'd register, but I'd refuse to *fight* or *die* for Ronald Bonzo. I'd die for the true ideals of what this country was in the revolutionary times. But it seems to be souring, and it's time we did something about it. America seems to be losing its true spirit to greed and apathy (among other things.) Blow it out the orifice of your choice, dembry. ~} -rehmi -- By the fork, spoon, and exec of The Basfour.
