sometimes called cowl lights or fender lights, these little
things are good for fog for this reason:  They are mounted
much lower  than the headlights, so they tend not to reflect
back into the driver's eyes.  The yellow color has nothing to
do with it.  Older cars have the 'parking' lights mounted
low for this.
