I've considered installing a device on my phone that would emit
a very loud, high frequency sound to be used when I'm pist at the
person on the other end.  On the other hand, I haven't had to deal 
with solicitors that much, and certainly not in the middle of the
night.  Computers, on the other hand... can anyone think of a 
system that could jam the computer?
