   -American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language.
   Since the pronounciation without the h is given first, i would assume
   it is more common.  Of course the American Heritage is a somewhat
   liberal dictionary.  I'm at home now or I would go down the hall and
   look it up in the OED.  Anybody know what the OED has to say on this
   point?
