I lived for three years at Misawa AB, Japan, where there is (among other
things) this HUGE circular antenna array called "the Elephant Cage", and
where many of the Air Force  people  understand  Russian.  So, I believe
the US really  knows what exactly  happened,  even if we haven't  seen a
complete  transcript.  Some  Russian  a**holes  really went and killed a
whole  planeload of innocent  people and they knew what they were doing.
There is NO acceptable explanation for that sort of subhuman behavior.

Still, I don't  understand  why it  happened  the way it did.  I suspect
there may be more  here  than  meets the eye, but I'm sure  we'll  never
know.  For example, why didn't  ANYONE  (Japanese and US included)  warn
the  747 it was in  danger?  Why  did the  Russians  not  force  it down
instead of shooting it down?  And, sheesh, when ordered to kill a lot of
innocent  people, why didn't the fighter  pilots  refuse  and/or  defect
immediately  to Japan  or  Korea?  (That's  what  really  makes me sick,
knowing there are so many people in the world who would  willingly carry
out orders like that.  AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!)
