I've heard of the program written by Hans Berliner et al. of Carnegie Mellon which beat Luigi Villa 6 to 1, but except for the (extremely expensive) game machine called Aristotle I've never seen it around. Does anyone know if it's available anywhere ? Backgammon used to be very popular a few years back, but now there are so few people left who are interested in it that I can't find anyone here interested in playing during lunch hour. So I'm stuck playing with a computer, but the level of play of the programs that I have access to is not very good. Anyone at BTL, Holmdel interested in playing backgammon during lunch ? G.
