Start at level 9 (the bonus for completing the initial level is largest here), and work up from there. Even if you're not very good at all, Tempest lets you be progressive since it allows you to start a new game at or near the last level you died on, provided you drop in another quarter within something like 30 seconds after your last game (drop in quarter, spin knob to highest starting level each time you restart -- the bonuses themselves for completing that initial level quickly become >100K.) - Bill Frolik hp-pcd!bill
