A garden catalog advertises a potato barrel about 30 inches high and 30 inches across that is supposed to be able to grow 100 pounds of potatoes! I've had such good luck growing potatoes the regular way that I'm reluctant to try another way. I'd like to hear about your experience with a potato barrel or tires. We are eating our Early Sunglow corn now (Beaverton, Oregon). I had 3 ears last nite. I also had some bok choy, which is a little bitter from the heat I think. The bok choy is very easy to grow, and only takes about 40 days until you can start eating the leaves.
