		WANTED: INFO ON MINICOMPUTERS

Our group in Bell Labs  is  looking  for  a  small  mini  for  an
application  involving  a  data-base of ~100 Mbytes and requiring
some color graphics output. (At the moment  we  are  considering,
among others, VAX 11/730, HP 9000 and Gould PS3000.)

I would appreciate any useful information on  what  is  available
that  meets  the  requirements  below.  First-hand information on
experience with a system on a similar application would  be  very

Hardware requirements:
	1. Unconditioned (regular office) environment.
	2. 32 bit processor, 1+ Mbyte memory (expandable).
	3. Support for upto 10 terminals.
	4. Disk capacity ~100 Mbytes, expandable.
	5. IBM compatible tape drive.
	6. Can be networked with other minis, IBM mainframe.

Software requirements:
	1. Data-base management system capable of handling
	   ~100 Mbytes; must have query language; compatible
	   with IBM mainframe.
	2. Color business graphics package & terminals supported.
	3. Languages: PL/1, Pascal, C.
	4. Good text processing software, screen editor.
