Plausible considerations involved include: 1) Price, availability. 2) Licensing, do we get source? can other people get it? 3) Completeness. Is it full C? Does it have floating point? 4) Quality. I don't mind debugging my code, but I don't want to spend much time debugging the compiler. 5) Compatibility with CP/M 68K C's calling conventions (not hugely important, but would be nice).
