On the other hand, what are they supposed to do if somebody doesn't
bring back the truck they promised to return the day before you
wanted yours? The average truck rental location has a lot fewer
trucks than, say, United has seats to New York, but occasionally
the airline bumps you for just the same reason. It's unpleasant
and painful and inconvenient, but I'm not sure I see how the
rental companies can do more than say that their schedule has a
slot for you and, if everyone does what they say they'll do, you'll
get a truck.
