       The new 1984 Radio Shack	catalog	is out.

       Page 76 shows two new synthesized scanners:

	  o+ PRO-30: 16 channel	handheld  for  $300.  Uses  6  "AA"
	    batteries  and  4  silver  oxide  batteries	 for memory
	    (scanner available September 30).

	  o+ PRO-2003:  60  channel  base/mobile	 for   $350.	Ten
	    channels are dedicated for FM broadcast frequencies.


       Page 78 shows a new crystal controlled scanner:

	  o+ PRO-25: 8 channel portable for $150	which  covers  VHF-
	    LO,	VHF-HI,	UHF, and Aircraft bands.


       Page 79 shows a Sony 2001  clone	 digital  general  coverage
       receiver	with keypad entry for $300.


       If you're interested in one of these radios, but	 think	the
       price  is  too  high, you can wait a few	months.	 This stuff
       will probably be	on sale	some time in the future.
