My mother teaches grade eight history. One question on a test she gave was:

	What did England do when the French began building forts in
	Western Canada?

(If you don't know, it is easy to guess -- "She built more forts" gave you
full <2> marks.)

One poor soul wrote:

	She committed suicide.

Makes you wonder whether teaching is worth it..........
