From the crow's nest came the cry, "Spanish armada, 5 leagues starboard." Jones told the first mate to sound the alarm and then to bring him his red shirt. "Why do you want a red shirt?" asked the first mate. Jones replied, "So when I am injured, the enemy won't be able to tell. Let them be discouraged." So, the first mate got him his shirt, and they fought and defeated the armada handily. Jones, bandaging his minor wounds, came up to his first mate. "See, I was hit here, but no one could tell. It's important not to let the enemy see what he has done to you." A little later that day, the lookout had fallen asleep. He awoke suddenly to the sound of cannon. "We're surrounded by 25 armadas!" he yelled. "Oh, NO!" said Jones. To the first mate, he said, "Quick, bring me my brown pants!" -- Randwulf (Randy Haskins); Path= genrad!mit-eddie!rh or... rh@mit-ee (via mit-mc)
